Pay Rate: £12.71 - £14.00 per hour DOE

Start Date: Beginning of September

About the Role

Do you have a current Enhanced DBS certificate with a Children's Barred List check?

Do you hold a Level 3 Nursery or Early Years qualification (or equivalent)?

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant / Nursery Practitioner to join a friendly nursery setting in Canterbury, Kent. This temporary opportunity is ideal for an experienced Early Years professional who is passionate about supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the day-to-day care and education of children aged 0-5 years.

* Assist in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.

* Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.

* Observe and record children's development and progress.

* Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

* Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times.

* Support children's personal care needs where required.

* Promote children's social, emotional, physical, and educational development.

Requirements

* Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare or equivalent (essential).

* Enhanced DBS Certificate (preferably on the Update Service) or willingness to obtain one.

* Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.

* Good knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

* A caring, reliable, and professional approach.

* Available to start at the beginning of September.
