Prospero Teaching are recruiting for a confident Maths Tutor to provide flexible 1:1 tuition to learners in Chester.

The successful candidate will support learners who may have gaps in their mathematical knowledge, helping them develop stronger subject understanding and greater confidence.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver personalised Maths tuition

Identify gaps in mathematical knowledge

Plan lessons around individual learning objectives

Explain mathematical concepts clearly and accessibly

Support learners with problem–solving and numeracy skills

Adapt sessions according to progress and ability

Encourage positive attitudes towards Maths

Requirements

Strong subject knowledge in Maths

Experience teaching or tutoring young people

GCSE Maths teaching experience desirable

Ability to adapt explanations to different learning styles

Excellent communication skills

Experience supporting SEND learners would be advantageous

Relevant teaching qualification or tutoring experience desirable

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

Right to Work in the UK
