Job Description

Supply Desk are supporting a secondary school in Southampton in their search for a dedicated Maths Teacher to join their team as soon as possible.

This is a full-time position teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the role expected to continue until at least Christmas. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, monitoring student progress, and helping students develop confidence and achievement in Mathematics.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4

Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum

Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback

Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement

Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental success

Contribute positively to the wider life of the school

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics

Experience teaching Maths at secondary level

Excellent classroom management skills

Passion for raising attainment and inspiring young people

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
