TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist setting in Shapwick that promotes a child-focused, calm and purposeful ethos for pupils aged 5 to 19. The setting places mental wellbeing and individualised therapeutic support at the heart of its approach, while creating a genuine family feel for pupils and staff.

The setting is looking to take on a full-time LSA on a temporary basis from September. The successful LSA will support pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans / EHCPs and special educational needs and/or disabilities / SEND, providing classroom support and adapting their approach to meet the individual learning and developmental needs of pupils.

The successful LSA will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND

• Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs is desirable

• The ability to support pupils with their individual learning and development

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A patient and nurturing approach

• The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils
