Location: Wandsworth, South West London

Start Date: September 2026

Contract: Full–Time Long–Term (Until July 2027)

Salary: 95 – 100 per day (dependent on experience)

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Wandsworth is looking to appoint a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This full–time, long–term opportunity is perfect for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced Teaching Assistants who are eager to make a positive impact on children's learning and development.

Working alongside experienced teachers, you will play an important role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping to build their confidence, develop key skills, and foster a lifelong love of learning.

The Role

As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils across Key Stage 1 in whole–class lessonsDeliver one–to–one and small group interventionsHelp develop children's literacy, numeracy and communication skillsEncourage positive behaviour and active engagement in learningWork collaboratively with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive learning environmentAbout You

The successful candidate will:

Have a genuine passion for working with primary–aged childrenBe enthusiastic, caring and patientPossess excellent communication and interpersonal skillsBe confident working as part of a teamBe committed to supporting children's learning and wellbeingHave previous school or childcare experience (desirable but not essential)Applications are welcomed from both experienced Teaching Assistants and graduates considering a future career in teaching.
