EYFS / KS1 Class Teacher

Barnard Castle Area, County Durham

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and nurturing EYFS / KS1 Class Teacher to join our welcoming and inclusive school community in the Barnard Castle area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative practitioner who is passionate about early learning and committed to giving every child the very best start in their education.

About the Role:

This role involves teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1, delivering high-quality, engaging learning experiences that support children’s development both academically and socially. You will play a key role in creating a stimulating, safe, and caring environment where all pupils can thrive.

We are looking for someone who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Has experience in EYFS and/or KS1 (both desirable)

Has a strong understanding of early reading, phonics, and child development

Creates a nurturing, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment

Is committed to high expectations and raising attainment for all pupils

Works effectively as part of a team and builds positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
