Humanities & Religious Education Teacher

Specialist Independent

Location: Southwark

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Full–time

Salary: 207– 321 per day

Tempest Resourcing is working in partnership with a Specialist Independent School for Girls to recruit a Humanities and Religious Education Teacher.

This is a rewarding opportunity to join a well–established specialist setting that supports girls with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH) and associated learning needs, delivered through small class sizes and a highly supportive structure.

The Role:

Teach Humanities and Religious Education across relevant key stagesPlan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needsSupport pupils with SEMH through a consistent, trauma–informed approachContribute to EHCP targets, reviews, and multidisciplinary planningWork closely with pastoral, SEN, and therapeutic teams

The Ideal Candidate:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualificationHas experience teaching Humanities and/or REDemonstrates strong behaviour management and relationship–building skillsExperience in SEN, SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision is highly desirableIs committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable young people
