Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Bristol

Contract: Full-time, Monday-Friday

Pay: £100-£130 per day

Hours: 8:20am - 3:30pm

About the School

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive Primary School in Bristol.

The school is continuing to grow and offers excellent opportunities for professional development throughout the year. For the right candidate, there is potential for the contract to be extended or made permanent.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver planned lessons and cover classes across the school where required

Support teaching and learning across KS1 and KS2

Lead small group interventions and 1:1 support sessions

Work closely with teachers to raise attainment and progress

Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

Experience, Training and Qualifications

HLTA status or strong relevant experience working at HLTA level

Previous experience in a UK primary school

A strong understanding of safeguarding and SEND

Experience or interest in supporting pupils with:

Autism

Speech, language and communication needs

Other additional needs

Excellent spoken and written English

Experience within healthcare, therapy, or pastoral support is desirable but not essential

To Be Eligible for This Role Through Prospero Teaching, You Must:

Have the Right to Work in the UK

Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one

Be able to provide two recent child‑related professional references
