Contract: Long‑term temporary (potential to go permanent)

Are you a passionate History specialist looking to make a real impact in a school that is committed to positive change? Veritas Education is seeking an engaging and creative History Teacher to join a vibrant and diverse 11-16 mixed secondary school in Middlesbrough.

This is a long‑term temporary position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The school is on an exciting journey of improvement, with a strong focus on raising aspirations and delivering high‑quality teaching and learning. Staff work collaboratively, and leaders are dedicated to supporting teachers and creating an environment where both students and colleagues can thrive.

As a History Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons across KS3 and KS4

Bring the curriculum to life through creative teaching and rich historical context

Inspire students of all abilities to develop a love for History

Contribute to the school's ongoing improvement journey

Assess, track and monitor student progress effectivelyWhat We're Looking For:

A History specialist with strong subject knowledge

QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

Experience teaching KS3/KS4 History

A positive, resilient teacher who thrives in a supportive but improving school environment

Someone who can build rapport and motivate learners from diverse backgroundsWhat We Offer:
