Secondary School Trainee Teacher Position in Welwyn Garden City

£100-£110 per day

All degree subjects welcomeTHE SCHOOL:

A successful, non-selective secondary school based in Welwyn Garden City.

The Headteacher believes in investing in potential and supporting graduates who are keen to pursue a career in teaching.

The school offers a supportive environment where graduates can develop their classroom experience and build the skills needed to become successful teachers.THE IDEAL GRADUATE WILL:

Hold a degree at 2:2 level or above, or be predicted to achieve at least a 2:2.

Be subject to reference checks covering the last two years.

Hold a valid and up-to-date DBS, or be willing to obtain one.

Be available to start in November 2026 on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday.

Have a genuine passion for education and a desire to progress into secondary teaching.THE ROLE:

Work across the school, supporting pupils and staff where required.

Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to help raise attainment.

Work alongside teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with additional learning needs.

Assist with the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for pupils with SEN.

Gain valuable classroom experience, with opportunities to lead lessons under the supervision of experienced teachers.
