Our client is an ambitious and welcoming secondary school with a passionate and supportive English Department.

They are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant (TA) to join their team and support the delivery of high–quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic graduate to gain invaluable classroom experience. After one or two successful terms as a TA, there is potential to progress onto a paid teacher training programme within the school.

The Role

Support teachers in the planning and delivery of engaging English lessons

Work with students individually or in small groups to develop literacy and analytical skills

Help prepare resources and support students with reading and writing tasks

Assist in managing classroom behaviour and fostering a positive learning environment

Contribute to wider school life, including clubs, enrichment activities, and trips

The Ideal Candidate

A recent English graduate (Literature, Language, Creative Writing, or a related discipline)

Passionate about education and eager to inspire young learners

Confident, proactive, and organised with excellent communication skills

A team player with a willingness to learn and develop professionally

Interested in pursuing a teaching career
