The Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is looking for motivated Functional Skills Tutors to provide engaging 1:1 tuition to learners across Wrexham.

As a Functional Skills Tutor, you'll deliver English and Maths tuition that helps learners build confidence, develop essential life skills and work towards recognised qualifications. You'll adapt every session to suit the learner's ability and goals.

Position Details

* Location: Wrexham

* Position: Functional Skills Tutor

* Hours: 5-15 hours per week

* Start Date: September 2026

* Duration: Ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications

Successful applicants will have:

* Experience delivering Functional Skills English and/or Maths

* Relevant teaching or tutoring experience

* Strong communication skills

* A flexible and supportive teaching style

To be eligible, you must:

* Hold the Right to Work in the UK

* Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update xjnqpsq Service, or be willing to obtain one

* Provide two professional references
