Full-Time | Term Time Only | September Start

Are you a passionate, nurturing and enthusiastic individual looking to make a real difference in early childhood education?

We are seeking an exceptional EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant, inclusive and forward-thinking primary school in the heart of Newham. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young learners at the very start of their educational journey and play a key role in shaping confident, curious and happy children.

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the learning, development and wellbeing of children aged 3–5. You will help create a safe, stimulating and engaging environment where every child can thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum through play-based learning

Assisting with planning and setting up creative, engaging activities

Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs

Encouraging children’s social, emotional, and communication development

Observing, recording and reporting on pupils’ progress

Helping maintain a safe, inclusive and positive classroom environment

Supporting behaviour management and promoting positive attitudes to learningThis role is central to helping children develop key early skills such as literacy, numeracy, and social confidence.

We are looking for someone who is:

Warm, caring and genuinely passionate about working with young children

Patient, creative and able to engage children through play and exploration

A strong team player with excellent communication skills

Proactive, reliable and committed to supporting every child’s successEssential / Desirable:

Experience working with children in an EYFS or nursery setting

Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant / Childcare qualification (desirable)

Understanding of safeguarding and child protection

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)Why Join This School?
