This opportunity would suit an English Teacher with strong subject knowledge, a clear approach to assessment and the ability to adapt lessons for students with different starting points.

The Role:

Position: English Teacher

Pay: £140-£220 per day, depending on experience and assignment

Location: Gosport, Hampshire

Setting: Sixth form college

Start date: ASAPAs an English Teacher, you'll teach assigned courses, prepare students for assessments and help them progress to further study or work.

Key Responsibilities for an English Teacher:

Plan engaging, appropriately challenging lessons and adapt teaching to individual needs.

Prepare schemes of learning and support students through internal and external assessments.

Use assessment and targeted interventions to improve student progress.

Maintain accurate attendance and achievement records.

Work effectively with learning support staff, colleagues and parents or guardians.What We're Looking For:

A degree and postgraduate teaching qualification.

Strong knowledge of the post-16 English curriculum.

Experience planning engaging lessons and using assessment to support progress.

Excellent communication, organisation and safeguarding awareness.
