Description

Monarch Education are currently supporting a welcoming secondary school in Kingstanding who are seeking to appoint a motivated and passionate English Teacher for a full–time position starting in September.

This is a long–term opportunity with the potential to become permanent, offering excellent career stability and the chance to establish yourself within a supportive and ambitious school environment.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high–quality English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop strong reading, writing and analytical skills while fostering confidence and a genuine appreciation for the subject.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4Plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge and inspire learnersSupport students in developing reading, writing and communication skillsPrepare pupils for assessments and GCSE examinationsDifferentiate learning to meet the needs of students of varying abilitiesTrack progress and provide constructive feedback to support attainmentMaintain high standards of classroom behaviour and learningContribute to departmental planning and curriculum developmentCreate an inclusive and positive learning environmentWork collaboratively with colleagues to drive student outcomes

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Experience teaching English within a secondary school settingStrong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 English curriculumExcellent classroom and behaviour management skillsStrong communication and organisational abilitiesA proactive, professional and reliable approachA genuine passion for education and student achievementECTs are encouraged to apply.
