Early Years Teaching Assistant (Autism Support)

Enfield Full–time, Term–time (Apply online only) per week

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant in the early years classroom, you'll play an important role in supporting children with autism as they explore, learn, and grow. You'll help adapt learning activities to meet individual needs, encourage positive social interaction, and contribute to a classroom culture built on patience, understanding, and inclusion.

This role may include supporting personal care routines, as some children may still be in the process of toilet training.

You won't be alone–our team is full of experienced, understanding professionals who will support and guide you every step of the way.

What You'll Be Doing:

Giving personalised, support throughout the school dayUsing creativity and patience to make learning fun and accessibleHelping with communication, emotional regulation, and building friendshipsWorking closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and family to ensure consistencySupporting personal care needs with dignity and kindnessWhat We're Looking For:

Experience with autism or additional needs is a bonus–but heart and dedication matter mostA calm, positive nature and willingness to learnGreat communication skills and a team mindsetAbility to follow EHCPs and behaviour support strategiesA relevant qualification is helpful, but not essentialWhat You'll Gain:
