Salary: £100–£120 per day (PAYE – no umbrella fees)

Looking for Cover Supervisor work in Hitchin?

We are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across a number of secondary schools in Hitchin and the surrounding areas.

This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, teaching assistants, sports coaches, and youth workers looking to gain valuable classroom experience in secondary education.

Cover Supervisor Responsibilities

* Deliver lessons as a Cover Supervisor using pre-set work

* Manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

* Ensure students remain engaged and on task

* Support secondary school pupils across KS3 and KS4

* Provide feedback to teachers after lessons

Requirements for this Cover Supervisor role

* Degree or experience working with young people (education, coaching, youth work, etc.)

* Confident managing groups of pupils in a classroom setting

* Strong behaviour management and communication skills

* Flexible, reliable, and professional

* DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
