Cover Supervisor – Coleford

Aspire People are recruiting confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work in Secondary schools across Coleford and the surrounding Forest of Dean area. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced classroom supervisors looking to gain valuable experience in education.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain focused and engaged

Deliver pre–prepared lesson plans and maintain a calm, positive learning environment

Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies

Support students with their learning and encourage active participation

Communicate with teachers and school staff about pupil progress and behaviour

Provide general classroom support across a range of subjects as required

Requirements:

Previous experience working with young people, ideally in schools or educational settings

Confident in front of a classroom and able to engage students

Strong communication and organisational skills

Reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic about supporting learning

Passionate about education and helping young people achieve their potential
