Description

Childrens Mental Health Assistant (full time positions available)

Hackney, West London

£ 95-£100 per day (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications) PAYE and weekly pay.

Start date: ASAP/Oct 2025

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an Ofsted rated "Outstanding" school in Hackney supporting children and young people with autism (ASC).

The school provides a nurturing, structured, and inclusive learning environment where pupils are supported to develop confidence, independence, and emotional resilience. Small class sizes and a highly experienced team ensure that each pupil receives the individual attention and care they need to thrive.

We are looking for a Children’s Mental Health Assistant to join the team and support pupils across both Primary and Secondary age groups. In this role, you will work closely with teachers and therapists to support pupils’ learning, communication, and emotional wellbeing. Each day will be different — filled with opportunities to make a real, positive impact on the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities

Support pupils within the classroom and during social or therapeutic activities.

Assist with emotional regulation and the development of social communication skills.

Encourage engagement and participation in learning through positive relationships and understanding.

Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and pastoral teams.

Promote a safe, calm, and nurturing environment where every pupil can succeed.

What we offer

As a Childrens Mental Health Assistant and part of our team, you benefit from:

Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.

Guaranteed pay scheme (subject to availability).

Social and networking events.

Pension contributions.

CPD to help with your professional development.

Access to a dedicated consultant.

Daily rate is subject to your scale rate, experience in role and qualifications which will be discussed at the point of registration
