Monarch Education is working with a range of Primary, Secondary and SEND schools across Birmingham and the surrounding areas and is looking to recruit experienced School Caretakers for a variety of opportunities.

To be considered, you must have:

Previous experience working as a School Caretaker, Site Supervisor, Facilities Assistant or Site Manager within a UK schoolExperience opening and closing school sitesExperience carrying out maintenance, health and safety checks and site security dutiesGood practical maintenance and DIY skillsA proactive and reliable approach to site managementWorking patterns can vary depending on the school's requirements and may include:

Full–time positionsSplit shiftsEarly morning site opening dutiesAfternoon and evening site closure dutiesMonday to Friday working patternsLong–term and permanent opportunitiesAs a School Caretaker, you may be responsible for:

Opening and securing school buildingsCarrying out routine maintenance and repairsEnsuring school grounds are safe, clean and well maintainedConducting health and safety inspectionsManaging site security and responding to maintenance issuesSetting up rooms and facilities for school events and activitiesLiaising with contractors and external visitorsSupporting the smooth day–to–day operation of the school siteWe're looking for candidates who:
