BSL (British Sign Language) Teaching Assistant GBP120 GBP150 per day

Location: Greenwich (Kidbrooke), SE3 9YY

Start Date: September 2025 Full–time, Term–Time Only

Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in British Sign Language (BSL)?

A welcoming and inclusive school in Greenwich (Kidbrooke) is seeking a skilled BSL Teaching Assistant to support students with hearing impairments. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in students' lives by helping them access the curriculum and thrive in a mainstream school environment.

Role Overview: Provide in–class support to students who are deaf or have hearing loss Use BSL to facilitate communication between students and teachers Work 1:1 or in small groups to deliver targeted learning interventions Support students social and emotional development Collaborate with SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals Candidate Requirements: Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in BSL (British Sign Language) Experience supporting children or young people with hearing impairments Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills A positive, flexible approach and genuine passion for inclusive education Experience in a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential What s on Offer: Competitive daily rate of GBP120 GBP150 (depending on experience/qualification level) Supportive team and professional development opportunities A fulfilling role making a real impact in a diverse and caring school Opportunity to gain long–term school–based experience If you're ready to support and empower students through inclusive communication, we d love to hear from you.
