Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant - Brigg

We are seeking a committed Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one or supporting a small group in Primary Schools across the Brigg area. If you're passionate about helping young people overcome social, emotional, and behavioural barriers to learning, this could be your opportunity to make a lasting impact.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Behaviour Support TA, you'll play a key role in the lives of pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour, many of whom face significant challenges around regulation, anxiety, trauma, and behaviour.

Provide 1:1 Behaviour Mentoring

Build Trusting Relationships

Develop Tailored Interventions

Promote Emotional Literacy

Champion Safeguarding

What We're Looking For

We're looking for individuals who are:

Resilient and emotionally intelligent

Committed to inclusion and equality

Experienced in working with young people who present with SEMH or behavioural needs

Capable of remaining calm, patient, and compassionate under pressure

Essential Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you should have:

Experience working with children

Strong knowledge of SEMH, behaviour management strategies, and trauma-informed practice

Excellent communication, listening, and teamwork skills

The ability to de-escalate challenging situations using non-confrontational techniques

A sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
