Full–time 8:30am – 3:30pm ASAP Start

90 – 105 per day Tewkesbury

Are you passionate about supporting young people and interested in gaining hands–on experience in SEMH, behaviour and specialist education?

A specialist education setting in Tewkesbury is looking for a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Worker to join their team. You'll be supporting students who may experience social, emotional and mental health needs, behavioural challenges and barriers to learning.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build valuable experience before pursuing a career in psychology, youth work, counselling, mental health or specialist education.

The Role – Behaviour Support Worker

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will:

Build positive, trusting relationships with students and act as a consistent source of supportSupport young people with SEMH, behavioural and additional learning needsEncourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement with learningHelp students develop confidence, independence and positive coping strategiesSupport students who may struggle within a mainstream classroom environmentWork closely with teachers, pastoral staff and other professionals to provide consistent supportHelp create a calm, safe and positive learning environment

Who We're Looking For

A Psychology graduate or studying towards a related degreeExperienced in youth work, support work, education or mentoringPassionate about supporting young people with additional needsConfident, patient and resilientAble to build positive relationships with challenging or vulnerable young peopleInterested in gaining experience within SEMH and specialist educationPrevious experience working with SEMH or challenging behaviour is beneficial, but not essential. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is committed, approachable and genuinely wants to make a difference.

Location: Tewkesbury

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Pay: 90 – 105 per day

Start: ASAP

Contract: Full–time, long–term
