Behaviour Mentor

Location: Dagenham, East London

Pay: £95 - £115 per day

Contract: Full-time, Long-term

Start: ASAP

Remedy Education are looking for a confident, resilient and supportive Behaviour Mentor to join a mainstream school in Dagenham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone experienced in supporting pupils with behavioural, social and emotional needs who can build trust, provide stability and help students re-engage positively with learning.

The school is welcoming, supportive and committed to providing the right environment for pupils who need additional guidance and structured support.

The Role:

Provide one-to-one and small-group behaviour support for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs

Help pupils regulate emotions, develop positive coping strategies, and improve behaviour

Support behaviour plans and interventions set by the SENCo and pastoral team

Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may be disengaged or anxious

Assist classroom teachers to maintain a positive and productive learning environment

Encourage confidence, resilience and positive decision-making

Support students during transitions, break times and unstructured parts of the day

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural or SEMH needs

Confident, calm and patient, with strong behaviour management skills

Able to build rapport quickly and act as a positive role model

A xjnqpsq team player who can communicate effectively with teachers, parents and pastoral staff

Passionate about helping pupils improve their wellbeing and engagement in school

Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS
