Behaviour Mentor - Autism Support

Q - Do you have experience or are looking to gain experience supporting children with Autism?

This mainstream Secondary School located in the Borough of Lambeth is looking for the perfect hard-working, resilient graduate to join their exceptional team! As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be working alongside pupils with SEMH & complex behavioural needs who require some additional guidance from a positive and assertive role model! You will support their everyday routine and keep them engaged and motivated to learn in the classroom. This is a full time, long-term post, commencing in September.

** This is an ideal position for a Psychology/Criminology graduate who is seeking first-hand experience before pursuing a career as a Prison Liaison Officer, Therapist, Counsellor, Youth Mentor amongst others. **

Behaviour Mentor - Autism Support Job role:

Supporting children with a range of SEN & SEMH to keep them engaged in the classroom

Encourage the development of the students' social skills

Work within the classroom and in smaller groups to accommodate needs

Support and comply with the school's safeguarding procedures

Full-time, long term position starting September 2025

Located in the Borough of Lambeth Behaviour Mentor - Autism Support Candidate Specification:

A 2:1 or a First-class degree from a reputable University

Genuine interest working with SEN and Mental Health

Excellent communication skills and willingness to adapt

Experience in a previous role, or personal experience in SEN is desirable
