Location: Nottinghamshire

Role: 1:1 Therapeutic Tutor / Mentor

Rate: GBP25 to GBP30/hour (Self–Employed)

This isn t just a tutoring job it s a mission.

At Beyond Limits Learning & Wellbeing, we re an approved Alternative Provision provider for Nottinghamshire County Council. We support vulnerable young people who cannot access mainstream school due to SEMH, SEND, or complex needs. Our tutors are more than teachers they re mentors who bring confidence, consistency, and creativity into every session.

The Role

We re seeking inspiring, empathetic, and adaptable individuals who can connect with hard–to–reach learners. Sessions are a dynamic mix of:

Tailored Academics: Functional Skills English & Maths (Entry Level Level 2).

Empathetic Mentoring: Building trust, resilience, and emotional regulation.

Imaginative Projects: Arts Award, iDEA digital, STEM kits, cooking, sport, outdoor learning whatever it takes to spark engagement.

Who We re Looking For

Naturally empathetic, with strong relationship–building skills.

Resilient, creative, and comfortable with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, or trauma.

Experience in education, youth work, or therapeutic mentoring.

Interests in sport, art, music, or outdoor learning are a big plus.

Enhanced DBS, full UK driving licence, own vehicle, and business insurance (or willingness to obtain).

What We Offer

GBP25 to GBP30 per hour (self–employed).

Consistent, long–term placements (2.5 3 hour blocks).

Full safeguarding training + therapeutic CPD.

A small, supportive team with resources provided.
