Description
Role: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (part-time, mornings only)
Location: Rural Lincoln, Lincolnshire
Start date: As soon as possible
Contract: Ongoing
Salary: £90-£105 per day (depending on experience, role and/or qualifications).
About the role
Heart of Supply is seeking a calm, caring and committed Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with additional needs at a warm and welcoming village primary school between Lincoln and Boston. This is a part-time, mornings-only position to start as soon as possible and continue on an ongoing basis with the opportunity for the role to turn contracted.
You’ll play an important role in helping a child thrive both academically and emotionally, offering tailored support, encouragement and structure throughout their morning sessions. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo, you’ll help the pupil engage with learning, develop confidence, and feel included in the classroom community.
This role would suit someone patient, positive and empathetic, with experience supporting children with additional needs, or a strong interest in developing within SEND support.
About the school
This friendly, single-form entry primary school is set in a rural Lincolnshire village and has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. The school offers excellent facilities, wraparound care, and a nurturing environment built on strong community values. Children are beautifully behaved, staff are dedicated to every pupil’s potential, and professional development is genuinely encouraged. The school fosters an atmosphere of encouragement, respect and shared purpose. You’ll be joining a supportive team that’s passionate about creating the best possible outcomes for all pupils.
What you will need:
* Experience supporting children or young people in a classroom, childcare, or youth setting (voluntary or paid)
* A patient, adaptable and nurturing approach
* Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents
* A genuine passion for helping children with additional needs succeed
* A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, Early Years, or similar) is desirable but not essential for experienced candidates
What we offer you:
* Competitive weekly PAYE pay
* Roles tailored to your lifestyle - day-to-day or longer term
* Access to exclusive opportunities in great local schools
* A friendly, experienced consultant who listens
* Free CPD and ongoing professional development
* A simple ‘Refer a Friend’ scheme
* A warm, supportive agency that genuinely cares about you and your journey
We’re fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All applicants will undergo thorough vetting, including enhanced DBS (with children’s barred list check and Update Service registration), references, and online checks as part of our compliance process.
