Description
Field Notes Architects is a small independent practice based in Cambridge. We work mostly across the East: old buildings, awkward sites, projects that need thinking through properly before anyone picks up a pencil.
We start with what’s already there. That means understanding the land, the structure, the history, and the problem the building actually needs to solve before proposing anything new. Most of the time, the answer is already on site. It just needs finding.
We’re not the right fit for everyone. If you want fast drawings and a quick submission, there are plenty of practices who’ll do that. If you have a building that needs proper thought, we’d like to hear about it.
