We contacted Charlie when we were looking at buying a property that seemed almost too good to be true. We had a feeling we needed a second opinion before committing, and getting Charlie to come and take a look was one of the best decisions we made during the whole house buying process. He spotted a number of issues that we simply wouldn’t have known to look for and explained everything to us in a way that was really easy to understand. He also gave us a realistic idea of the work that would have been involved and importantly what that could have meant financially. Charlie was completely honest with us, even though it meant telling us things we probably didn’t want to hear at the time! I honestly couldn’t recommend Charlie highly enough. We’ve used him twice now for structural engineering work, firstly for our loft conversion, and more recently for removing a dog-leg wall with a chimney in the middle and on both occasions he has been fantastic. He is incredibly knowledgeable, efficient and professional, but what really stood out to us was how quick he was to respond and how helpful he was throughout the whole process. He made what could have been a stressful part of our building projects feel really straightforward and was always happy to answer questions or explain things when we weren’t sure. He was also really helpful when dealing with Building Control, which made a huge difference and gave us real peace of mind that everything was being done properly. Couldn't recommend Charlie enough!! I needed drawings for plans to remove a load-bearing wall and was feeling quite overwhelmed when searching for a structural engineer. From the very beginning, Charlie was so helpful and approachable. He made the whole process really straightforward and provided helpful professional advice and suggestions.
