VINTAGE, WOODEN PLAN CHEST FOR STORING ARTWORKS, DRAWINGS - HEAVILY USED, 1 RUNNER NEEDS REPLACED

Well-built vintage Wooden Plan Chest c1970s or earlier and branded 'CRUSADER'

Two sections which can be stacked as photographed

Approximate measurements at the widest points 1520x935x860mm

Well-used and worn condition, drawers could use some lubrication / wax for easier movement but all are generally sound - well-used and with signs of use and wear all over, surface scratches, marks, dents and chips, holes, damaged veneer, staining, etc. The base unit looks like it has 4 modern screws down each exterior side so may have older repairs, we're uncertain

The top drawer is missing a runner at the right side when viewing the photo, it means the drawer will not fully close and the second drawer also cannot be used until repaired as they clash. The repair looks fairly simple but it will require a new wooden runner as it is no longer attached and it may be difficult to access but not impossible

Still a useful old unit and can be used perfectly well in its current state but would benefit from some attention

Collection only from North-East Fife, Scotland and we're unable to assist with moving or lifting. Inspection welcome

Modern equivalent currently retails from £1000 to 2500 and are generally made from MDF, Chipboard or worse !
