Kenwood UD-700 HIFI COMPONENT SYSTEM CD,RADIO,TAPE,AMP + SPEAKERS/REMOTE L@@K.!!
Manor House, London
£150
Description
This vintage audio setup is a Kenwood UD-700 (or very closely related UD series) midi hi-fi stack system, typically dating from the early-to-mid 1990s. It features a modular "component" design where each part serves a specific audio function, tied together by a common aesthetic of rounded black fascias and digital displays.
The primary components visible in your image include:
Core Components
Super Woofer System (SW-500): This prominent vertical unit on the right is an active powered subwoofer. It has a built-in 35W amplifier and is often called the "Perla Nera" due to its distinctive design.
Integrated Stereo Receiver/Amplifier: The bottom unit in the main stack controls the entire system and includes a built-in radio tuner.
Double Cassette Deck: Positioned above the receiver, this unit supports two tapes for recording and playback, featuring auto-reverse functionality.
Graphic Equalizer: The middle unit with the blue spectrum analyzer display allows for fine-tuning of audio frequencies.
CD Player: The top component is a compact disc player, often integrated with the rest of the stack via a proprietary system control cable for synchronized operation.
Speaker System: The matching 3-way speakers on either side are designed to complement the aesthetics and power output of the UD-700 stack.
Year of Manufacture: Roughly 1990–1995.
Cleaned it as best as i could, freshly polished. But can do with a bit more of a detailed clean as it has signs of wear and tear but not too bad at all, very good for its year.
Kenwood speaker has no wires for me to test so they are untested. So i threw in some Sony speakers with wires connected to the speaker itself.
