For sale is a Rotel RT-850 stereo tuner, a beautifully made vintage component from Rotel’s golden era of hi-fi.
This isn’t some plastic box pretending to be “vintage.” It’s the real thing — black, solid feel, weighty controls, and that unmistakable late-80s Rotel look that still sits beautifully.
Technically it’s a Quartz-Locked Digital Synthesizer Tuner, meaning once you’ve tuned in, it stays there. No drift, no noise, instead: a stable stereo reception and that smooth, easy presentation Rotel tuners are loved for.
FM sensitivity is excellent — it’ll pull in distant stations cleanly.
The tone is rich, full, and unhurried. It doesn’t have the brittle edge that cheaper tuners give you. This one has that subtle warmth Rotel engineered into their circuits when they still voiced gear by ear, not by spreadsheet.
