The RODE CLASSIC II Studio Valve Tube Condenser Large Diaphragm Microphone.
Made in Australia. In great condition. Serial No 1416.
It has been used minimally at home, and mostly as a vocal mic for music production.
I also used it on a few acoustic instruments too. It’s quite versatile!

The Classic II is the flagship of the Rode studio microphone series. This great mic has been discontinued, and you rarely see one up for sale. Check out the Sound-on-Sound review of it. Plenty of 'pros', but no 'cons' to mention of.

This tube microphone produces a warm, full sound for vocals and instruments. \
It has a 1-inch double diaphragm capsule that is powered by a vintage twin triode GE JAN 6072 tube and a customised Rode Jensen output transformer. Nine pickup patterns, a variable PAD and filter, shockmount and a rugged housing that is nickel-polished - these are some impressive specs! The Classic II comes with a double rustless 30-inch copper cable, a power supply, shockmount, standmount and an aluminium storage case.
