I'm selling off all my hifi equipment, so these are reluctantly being sold.

These are a version of the B&W DM3 speakers made for Sony by B&W. DM3's are pretty rare but you do see them for sale, you never see these Sony's for sale!

Beautiful speakers in solid Teak cabinets that resemble bookshelf speakers on steroids ( measurements are in the photos). They weigh an absolute ton at nearly 23kg each. I've included a photo with a pair of Mordaunt Short MS10 bookshelf speakers on top of them just to illustrate the scale. Also very low serial numbers 91 and 92, so must have been produced very early in the production process.

They've been stored in the loft for years as I simply didn't have the space for them.

Condition is good considering their age. There are some scratches to the cabinets, but the beauty of teak cabinets is that they can be sanded down and refinished however you would like. There's also a small hole in one of the speaker grilles.

They still sound great, especially with regards to classical. Definitely a bit lighter in the bass than with many modern speakers, but I actually find that refreshing and can easily be remedied with amplifier pairing or heaven forfend maybe even a subwoofer.

Ive had them hooked up for the past week and they've performed admirably, haven't skipped a beat.
