A beautiful and impressive antique Scottish flame mahogany chest of drawers dating from the William IV/Early Victorian period (circa 1835–1845).
This is a substantial, high-quality cabinet featuring exceptional bookmatched flame mahogany veneers, carved front columns, original turned wooden knobs, and a concealed secret drawer within the top drawer with original key.
It is an original piece with a wonderful rich patina developed over nearly 180 years.
The chest is in very good antique condition, with only the expected age-related marks and wear.
It has not been over-restored, retaining its character and originality.
