Support Worker, Tunbridge Wells, TN3. £18.50 gross per hour weekdays | £20.00 gross per hour weekends. Fantastic opportunity to support Andrew, a bright and engaging 5-year-old with cerebral palsy. Flexible part-time hours, supporting him to enjoy life at home and access fun activities in the community.

Key Information

· Job Title: Support Worker

· Pay: £18.50 gross per hour weekdays | £20.00 gross per hour weekends

· Location: Tunbridge Wells, TN3

· Start Date: ASAP

· Hours and Days of Work: Part-time. Two after-school weekday shifts, 02:30 PM to 08:30 PM (days to be mutually agreed). One weekend shift, either Saturday 09:30 AM to 03:30 PM or Sunday 08:30 AM to 02:30 PM. Additional optional hours may be available during school holidays

· Essential Experience: Professional childcare experience

· Desirable: Experience supporting children with additional needs and a physical disability

· Driver Required: Yes, own car required to travel to and from the family home. Automatic WAV available for use on duty

Andrew, 5, is fun-loving, inquisitive and active, with a love of swimming, reading, music, arts and crafts, imaginative play and exploring new experiences. He has cerebral palsy, which impacts his mobility and everyday functioning, and uses a wheelchair and walker.

This rewarding Support Worker role offers the opportunity to help Andrew access meaningful activities, build his independence and enjoy the world around him. His family are looking for an energetic, patient and proactive Support Worker who enjoys working with children and building positive relationships.

Professional childcare experience is essential, while experience supporting children with additional needs and a physical disability would be advantageous. Weekend availability is required, with additional optional hours during school holidays.
