About the Client/Child: Sam (18) is bright, articulate and creative, with a passion for wildlife photography, animals, Lego and nature. Diagnosed with PDA, ASC and ADHD, Sam lives independently with structured support to maintain his autonomy. He experiences anxiety, low mood and emotional intensity, particularly around demands and loss of control. Sam enjoys being active but also needs downtime and benefits from support to plan activities and stay engaged.

The Role at a Glance: This is a 1:1 role supporting Sam in his own home, using collaborative, low-demand approaches to reduce anxiety and promote independence. Clear, thoughtful communication is essential, as Sam is highly sensitive to tone and language. The role includes supporting daily routines, encouraging activities outside the home, accompanying Sam on photography trips, dog walking, and light admin duties such as diary management, appointments, payroll, and staff leave coordination. Sam’s love for his pets is central to his well-being, and supporting him to remain in control of their care is key.

This Job Would Suit: A confident, calm, and resilient *female Senior Support Worker who builds trust through consistency and empathy. You’ll be emotionally attuned, respectful, and proactive, striking a balance between encouragement and sensitivity. A confident driver who enjoys outdoor activities and is equally comfortable with quiet time is essential.

Why You’ll Love This Role: This is a meaningful opportunity to support a young man’s independence while easing pressure on his family. The role offers variety, autonomy, and regular opportunities for travel and outdoor exploration. The family is happy for the support staff to use their Range Rover on duty.

Recruitment Process: Managed through Snap Care’s Shortlist Service. Suitable applicants will be introduced to the client/case manager. By applying, you consent to your details being shared.

Unfortunately, sponsorship is not available.

This role meets a genuine occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010.
