About the Client/Child: Josh is a cheerful 6-year-old living with his parents and younger brother in a fully adapted home in South West London. He sustained a Perinatal Hypoxic Brain Injury at birth and has Dystonic Cerebral Palsy and epilepsy, resulting in complex medical needs.

Josh requires suctioning and receives all nutrition, fluids and medication via PEG. He communicates through facial expressions, body language and sounds. His dedicated nurse-led care team (“Team Josh”) provides round-the-clock support, ensuring he receives high-quality care and therapy input.

The Role at a Glance: Josh receives 2:1 support following a detailed care plan covering daily living tasks, complex care and therapy activities. He is making excellent progress and is expected to attend school regularly from September.

You will assist with PEG care, suctioning, seizure management and therapy-based activities. Bespoke training is provided, but prior experience in PEG care, suctioning and epilepsy management is essential. The role typically offers two shifts weekly with opportunities to cover additional shifts.

This Job Would Suit: A compassionate, experienced complex care support worker who enjoys working collaboratively within a professional care team. You should be nurturing, patient and creative—someone who enjoys engaging with children through play, games and songs while supporting their development.

Why You’ll Love This Role: Josh is a delightful child and being part of his care team is incredibly rewarding. The role includes ongoing training, supervision and support from the Team Leader and Case Management team.

Recruitment Process: This vacancy is managed through Snap Care Shortlist Service. Applications are reviewed against essential criteria before suitable candidates are shared with the client/case manager.

Please note: Unfortunately, we are unable to provide sponsorship for any of our vacancies. Where a specific gender is required, this is a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
