We are a friendly family in Lewes looking for a fabulous PA for our daughter who is 18 years old and has quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy.

Our daughter uses a wheelchair at all times and requires assistance with all activities of daily living, including personal care, play and mobility. She is a fun, happy girl who loves to be in the company of others. She communicates verbally and loves to chat.

She has a great sense of humour, enjoys music, fun days out-and-about (bowling, swimming, ice-skating, theatre), shopping and loves going out for lunch. She requires support to access and interact with her environment.

This position will involve working independently and alongside us and our existing PAs. The work will involve supporting her with eating, personal care and (more importantly) having fun.

Although experience is desirable, this is not essential as we can provide relevant training. Most importantly we are looking for a friendly, caring, confident individual who is fun, patient and who has the energy and motivation to assist our daughter to reach her full potential with support and guidance.

As this role will involve taking our daughter out and about, we are looking for someone who is able to drive our wheelchair adapted car.

We're currently looking for someone for approx. 6-7 hours at the weekend, either Saturday or Sunday, with more hours during the school holidays if possible.

Candidate qualities:

- Hygienic, tidy and well organised

- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties

- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

- Honest and cheerful

- Creative

- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
