Description

If you are looking to build your voice, shake off performance anxiety, or tighten up your technique, I offer structured, practical vocal coaching designed for how your body actually functions. My name is Zach. I hold a Masters Degree from Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and my approach is grounded in over ten years of professional international performance experience alongside established vocal pedagogy. My studio centers on the actual process of making music and understanding your instrument, whether you are just starting out or already performing.

In my studio, we do not do one-size-fits-all lessons. My teaching draws from frameworks like Estill and the Wilson Method to focus on actual vocal mechanics. We work on managing air pressure, balancing your registers, and releasing physical tension in the jaw, neck, and tongue root so your sound can move freely.

Singing is more than just hitting the right notes. We draw from many acting and stage performance frameworks to bring real intention and storytelling to your music, moving past manufactured inflections so you can deliver a truthful performance. If you want to expand your skill set, we can also cover practical music theory, charting chord progressions, navigating complex rhythms, or even the technical side of live performance, like mic technique, setting up PA gear, and dialing in your stage EQ.

I work with singers at all levels, including instrumentalists adding vocals to their toolkit and neurodivergent learners who need a tailored approach (please include in your message any special needs or requirements so I can understand the best way to accomodate you). My current and past students are active in the Glasgow music and theater scenes. Right now, they are:
• Fronting rock and blues bands, playing acoustic pub sets, and hitting open mics.
• Booking roles in local musical theater productions, including Sondheim, Mel Brooks, and Disney pieces.
• Writing, arranging, and structuring original cabarets.
• Preparing successfully for university-level music program auditions.

My studio is in Glasgow's West End, a 10-minute walk from Partick station. I also offer lessons online via Zoom.

Rates;
1 Hour: £40.00
45 Minutes: £32.00
30 Minutes: £24.00

Safety: For your peace of mind, I am fully vetted and have passed my PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) scheme.

If you are ready to invest in your voice, send me a message here to schedule your first session.
