Description

I have gained a wide variety of invaluable teaching experience of over 38 years, specialising in ENGLISH, MUSIC, ART and SPECIAL NEEDS, Preschools, Primary and Secondary Schools, PRUs, Hospitals, Special Schools, face-to-face or online EXAM PREPARATION/ HOME TUTORING/ MENTORING/ HOME SCHOOLING LESSONS SUPPORT/ also SCHOOL HOLIDAY LESSONS AVAILABLE - keep up and/or catch up. TEFL/TESL available. DBS checked.

I have always enjoyed teaching students of any age, utilising skills we both have to help them reach their full potential, by enabling them to gain in confidence, self-belief in literacy/numeracy work, musical performances either for fun, building confidence, auditions, competitions, or exams.

I teach students from 4 years old up to Pre A Level students and all adults. I have been fortunate enough to specialise in ABRSM examinations for voice and many instruments, ENGLISH assessments of all ages, moderation Years 7 -11/ all types of exam preparation/ revision techniques/entrance exams and interview techniques/ TEFL/TESL and also many specific learning difficulties for a variety of subjects - including: Autism/ADHD/ADD/Dyslexia/
Anxiety/HomeSchooled…

I enjoy working as a team with students/parents/carers/schools to maximise student achievements and celebrate success however small.

For me building on success means progress at all levels which in turn secures happy students often in many subjects. Happy students are motivated to strive beyond their initial ability because they have the self belief to enjoy lessons and reach their full potential usually gaining 2-3 grades higher.

Learning online could enable you or a friend or relative to take up a musical instrument (clarinet, cello, dood, piano, keyboard, recorders, J -Sax, saxophone, singing, theory, ukulele) for fun or enjoy support for KS1/KS2/KS3, SATS, 11+, GCSEs in English Lang/Lit/ Music.

Also Proof Reading/Editing/CV - University Application/Personal Statements and University Coursework/Dissertations.
I’m here to help, support and adapt lessons to suit individual needs to boost confidence and obtain higher grades - ONLINE with some face 2 face support.

ONLINE GROUP ENGLISH/ART available (for KS1/KS2 HOMESCHOOLED students) - up to 4 students max.

NEW: ONLINE: RECORDER/ UKULELE/SING -A-LONG - GROUP TUITION available - all ages up to 12 students max.

Looking forward to chatting with you... and supporting your journey :-)

Annie is just delightful, my first lesson is actually next week but we had an amazing phone call and I know we are going to be firm friends, it already feels as if I’ve known her for years. I can’t wait to start brushing up my skills on the piano interspersed with much laughter and fun. Highly recommended ❤️

Very good at explaining about the tunes and the theory. Her teaching method isn't boring and she gives loads of tips and advice. Really pushes you on in a gentle but professional way. Ive learned loads from her , not only on how to play but info about composers, techniques and lots more.

Annie is very patient and understanding. She is always enthusiastic and encouraging especially on those days when I need it most . I would certainly recommend her for beginners (as I am ) but that said I would imagine she would be a perfect teacher for all stages /abilities . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have been with Annie for nearly 4 months months now, she is a lovely lady. She is patient and encouraging and doesn't expect you to be perfect at what your learning (which takes pressure off of me as used to get tense before my lessons). She always tries to settle me down before my lessons starts as I get very nervous. You can message her anytime, send her videos, and ask for videos for a song your doing, ask her anything and she always answers. If you can't do an arranged lesson she will rearrange it for you so you don't lose money because you can't take your lesson. Lovely, friendly lady. I'm in my 60's the brain doesn't work fast these days, but she has the patience of an angel, and I am so glad I decided to have my lessons with her.
