Mid Century Long Teak Sideboard 1960s By White & Newton - MCM
Shepton Mallet, Somerset
£795
Description
A mid century 1950s-1960s teak veneer sideboard with an attractive curved upstand at the back. The sideboard features a bank of 3 drawers flanked by a cupboard with a shelf inside to the right and a drop down door with bar area and removeable tray. The makers sticker has come off but this is attributed to White & Newton and it's really nicely made, a good solid piece of furniture which will last for many years to come. The colour is a bit lighter than most teak sideboards, being a more golden colour.
In good vintage condition, with some scratches and marks commensurate with age. The top is very clean and tidy with a darker shadowy area to the left, probably where it's had something stood so this area hasn't faded as much as the rest. All the doors and drawers move freely.
Dimensions: H 75.5 x W 2.8 x D 46 cm.
Distance from ground to bottom of cupboards: 27 cm,
Internal height of cupboard: 37 cm.
