Our client, a prestigious organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a talented Test Design Support Engineer to join their team in Bolton. This is an exciting contract opportunity to work in state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, supporting cutting-edge defence projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Acting as the primary interface between design teams and manufacturing teamsProviding expert knowledge and support within the production environmentSupporting highly advanced module missile programmes, subsystems, and launcher assembliesContributing to the design and support of test equipment and productsEngaging in core engineering disciplines while encouraging personal growth in other electronic areas

Job Requirements:

To be suitable for this role, you will have:

A degree or equivalent industry experience in Electrical EngineeringExperience in designing products/systems and/or providing support during the manufacturing phaseProven experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Digital and Analogue electronicsPower ElectronicsRF & AntennaInterconnectsSafety ElectronicsTest SystemsSchematic designPCB DesignAdherence to BS EN StandardsExcellent verbal communication, negotiation, and influencing skillsAbility to write clear and concise engineering documentationExperience working within multi-disciplinary teams and a passion for innovation and collaborationAutonomous working capability, with strong project management skillsInvestigative skills for identifying root causes and proposing corrective actionsExperience in supporting manufacturing and resolving manufacturing issues (advantageous)
