Are you passionate about shaping public health policy and influencing change on a global scale?

A leading international health charity is looking for a Senior Policy & Public Affairs Manager to drive its policy and advocacy agenda across key areas including cancer prevention, nutrition, physical activity, alcohol policy and wider non-communicable disease prevention.

You'll play a key role in developing evidence based policy positions, building influential stakeholder relationships and identifying opportunities to shape international health policy. Working closely with senior leaders, you'll lead strategic engagement with global institutions, contribute to advocacy campaigns and produce high-quality policy outputs that inform decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing and promoting policy positions on public health issues Leading engagement with international institutions, policymakers and government representatives Managing high-profile stakeholder relationships and partnerships Conducting policy analysis and producing briefings, reports and consultation responses Identifying influencing opportunities at global, regional and national levels Representing the organisation at conferences, meetings and public events Supporting strategic planning and delivery of policy priorities Acting as a media spokesperson on designated policy areas The appointed candidate will have:

Significant experience within public health, health policy, cancer prevention, nutrition, obesity, alcohol policy or wider non-communicable disease (NCD) prevention. Direct experience working with the World Health Organization (WHO), including an understanding of its structures, processes and how to influence policy development through international health systems. Strong knowledge of the European policy landscape, including experience engaging with EU institutions, Member States or pan-European policy initiatives. A track record of developing and delivering successful influencing strategies with senior policymakers at international, regional and national levels. Experience managing and building relationships with a broad range of stakeholders including governments, academics, researchers and civil society organisations. Excellent policy analysis skills, with the ability to translate complex evidence into clear policy recommendations. Experience producing policy briefs, consultation responses, reports, position papers or publications for external audiences. Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Closing date: 9.00am 12th October
