Procurement Leader - Quantity Surveyor

Description

Our client, a leading company in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Procurement Leader - Quantity Surveyor to join their team on-site at Newcastle - A&P Tyne and WD Close Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading procurement activities and managing subcontractor relationshipsConducting quantity surveying duties including cost estimation, cost control, and contract administrationEnsuring compliance with procurement policies and proceduresWorking closely with project teams to manage budgets and financial reportingProviding strategic advice on procurement and supply chain managementFacilitating tender processes and negotiating contractsMonitoring project progress and ensuring timely delivery of servicesReporting to senior management on procurement and quantity surveying matters

Job Requirements:

Significant experience as a Senior Quantity SurveyorStrong background in quantity surveying within the Defence & Security sectorExcellent knowledge of procurement processes and contract managementProficiency in cost estimation and budget managementStrong negotiation and communication skillsAbility to work onsite adhering to site working hoursUnderstanding of relevant legislative and compliance requirementsRelevant qualifications in quantity surveying or a related field

Contract Details:

Location: Newcastle - A&P Tyne and WD Close EngineeringContract Length: 12 MonthsWorking Hours: 37 Hours per week (aligning with site working hours)Onsite RoleInside IR35
