Description
Our client, a prominent player in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Procurement Engineer for a contract position in Samlesbury. This role involves working with cutting-edge military and information systems, with a focus on efficient procurement processes within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing procurement activities to support various projects within the Defence & Security sectorEnsuring timely and cost-effective purchasing of materials and servicesDeveloping and maintaining relationships with suppliers and stakeholdersConducting market research and analysis to identify potential suppliersNegotiating contracts and agreements with suppliersEnsuring compliance with company policies and industry regulationsCollaborating with project teams to align procurement strategies with business needsMonitoring supplier performance and addressing any issues that arise
Job Requirements:
Experience in procurement, preferably within the Defence & Security sectorStrong negotiation and contract management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to work in a hybrid arrangement with 3 days on-site at SamlesburyUnderstanding of procurement regulations and compliance requirementsProficiency in procurement software and toolsSecurity clearance at SC level (or in-flight to start)High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
