The Unity Programme is a major transformation initiative that will provide HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), the Department for Transport, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, and their Arm's Length Bodies and Agencies with a modern and efficient system platform. The programme will improve self-service, staff management, financial management and accounting across government.
This role sits within the Finance Change Team in HMRC's Chief Finance Officer (CFO) business group, working primarily alongside the Unity Programme.
The role supports finance change activity associated with the implementation of Unity, HMRC's new Enterprise Resource Planning platform. Unity will transform finance and procurement services through the introduction of SAP S/4HANA and SAP Ariba, delivering new systems, processes, controls and ways of working across the organisation.
As a Finance Change Process Manager, you will work with the Finance Change Process Lead, business stakeholders, subject matter experts and programme teams to support the design, testing and implementation of finance and procurement processes. While the role may support wider finance change priorities, its primary focus will be the end-to-end Purchase-to-Pay process.
You will help translate complex process and system information into clear and practical outputs, ensuring future processes are documented, understood and tested. This is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting HMRC's transition to its future finance operating model.
You will work closely with peers, senior leaders, functional teams and departmental counterparts to deliver outcomes, build strong stakeholder relationships and manage expectations effectively.
The successful candidate will have experience of financial concepts and processes, along with experience of working within programmes, projects or change environments.
