Location: Central SouthamptonJob Type: Full-time, PermanentA well-established criminal defence law firm in central Southampton is seeking an experienced and motivated Criminal Defence Lawyer to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor who is passionate about criminal law and client advocacy, and who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and well-respected practice.

Day-to-day of the role:

Manage your own caseload of criminal matters, covering work across the Magistrates' Court and Crown Court.Attend police stations to provide legal support and representation.Engage in Magistrates' Court advocacy.Prepare and progress cases for the Crown Court.Provide comprehensive client care and legal representation from instruction through to conclusion.Depending on experience, there may be opportunities to undertake higher-level advocacy.Required Skills & Qualifications:

Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or an appropriately experienced fee earner.Strong background in criminal defence work.Police Station Accreditation is highly desirable, or a willingness to obtain it.Confident in handling a full criminal caseload independently.Excellent communication and advocacy skills.Professional, committed, and client-focused approach.Benefits:
