Are you passionate about making a difference for children with special educational needs and disabilities? We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Risk Assessment Team within Passenger Transport Services.

About the Role

As a Risk Assessment Officer, you will play a vital role in assessing and reviewing transport requirements for children's school travel. You'll support the team in completing individual risk assessments for home-to-school transport and help ensure safe, appropriate travel arrangements are in place. You may also assist with administrative tasks across the wider Passenger Transport Services team.

Key Responsibilities

Gather and interpret information from various sources to produce clear, accurate reports and correspondence.Review and update existing risk assessments in response to changes in needs.Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to problem-solve and achieve suitable outcomes.Communicate empathetically and calmly with parents, carers, and members of the public.Support administrative functions as needed. What We're Looking For

Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills.Confidence in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database systems.Ability to work collaboratively and meet tight deadlines.Excellent interpersonal skills and a calm, empathetic approach.Willingness to work from the office as required. Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will be expected to attend the office daily during the initial induction and training period. Following this, flexible working arrangements (including working from home) will be available, with attendance at the office required for team days and meetings.
