Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Cambridgeshire County Council/West Northamptonshire Council for an Insurance Administration Assistant to provide essential administrative support within their Insurance Shared Services team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator to contribute to a fast-paced service responding to an increased volume of public liability claims.

Key Responsibilities

Reviewing, triaging and logging new low-value public liability claims onto the claims management systemIssuing standard acknowledgement correspondence and requesting further information where requiredManaging incoming communications via shared mailboxes and telephone callsSupporting the accurate recording, allocation and monitoring of claims and related correspondenceCarrying out general administrative duties to support the wider Insurance Services teamAssisting with data reporting, financial transactions and maintenance of records as requiredWorking collaboratively with colleagues to ensure service standards and deadlines are met

About You

Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within a public sector or insurance environmentThe ability to work accurately with data and confidential informationStrong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing workloadsConfidence in using IT systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalA flexible and proactive approach to work, with the ability to support the team during peak periodsDesirable:

Basic understanding of insurance claims or public liability claimsExperience working within structured processes or compliance-driven environments
